Dor Lasker, an alum of GSEHD's Israel Education graduate program, along with Hilla Drechler, published an article on ejewishphilanthropy.com titled, "Make the ‘Jewish awakening’ sustainable: Shaping a meaningful Jewish cultural identity."
In the article, the authors reflect on the movement of many young Jews who are reevaluating and deepening their Jewish identity and connection to Israel following October 7th. This shift has sparked increased engagement and solidarity, presenting an opportunity to build a sustainable framework for cultural Jewish identity that transcends traditional religious boundaries. Leaders and organizations are now working to define and unify this identity. The ultimate goal is to establish a global movement of cultural Jewish identity that resonates personally and communally, fostering deeper ties to Judaism and Israel among younger generations worldwide.
